Porcupine is a minor antagonist in Bambi II.
Background[]
Porcupine is a grumpy, but goofy old porcupine who doesn't want anyone crossing his log bridge, a feat which Bambi attempts to complete. Bambi did nearly manage to fully cross the bridge, but Porcupine quickly stabbed him with his quills in order to stop him. Later, Porcupine was caught in the middle of Bambi trying to get rid of Man's hunting dogs and was launched onto one of the dogs by Bambi. He survived the incident, and later stabbed Bambi with his quills, this time causing him to jump, and he and Faline kiss for the first time.
Relationships[]
Bambi[]
Porcupine doesn't like Bambi, mocking him as "a "squirrel" and lecturing him for attempting to cross his log bridge. Bambi, for his part, is unwilling to "obey" the Porcupine, and do as he pleases, much to Porcupine's chagrin.
The Great Prince of the Forest[]
Even though the Great Prince of the Forest is of great stature and nobility, Porcupine still has little respect for him. He acts antagonistically towards him, referring to him as "a big moose" because of his size. The Great Prince seems to respond to these derogatory comments with mere annoyance.
Behind the Scenes[]
Porcupine was created for and appears in Bambi II, where he was voiced by the film's director, Brian Pimental who also voiced the Groundhog in the movie.
